Map Critiques:

In addition to being a geography student I am an art minor.  As an art student you are required to have an occasional critique every semester so,I always found others advice very helpful on my art projects. I feel that having others look at your maps helps you get a different perspective of your work. As a GIS student you are designing maps that will one day looked at by professionals, so you need to design it professionally.

This is a section of the website a place where you could email your maps to the SOGIS group for us to look at(Until I figure out a way for you to submit them to us directly to the Website.)  or even meet with you in person if we can schedule a time together. We could help you make sure your map has everything it needs logically and also help you design it in such  a way that it is well balanced, uses corresponding color schemes, and proper labeling techniques.

(BEFORE EMAILING US) Make sure in ARC publisher when you export your map make surethe DPI is less than 150 as it will make the map file smaller and easier for you to upload and us to down load
