Students can join the Exercise & Sports
Science Club by picking up and returning a Membership Form at the
HPER Department Front Desk or Mrs. Rainey's Office. Membership Dues are $20 for the full academic year and $15 for the current semester. Students are encouraged to join for the full academic year in order to reap all the benefits of the ESS Club. The ESS Club T-Shirts are $10 and are the required uniform for sanctioned ESS Club events and trips. The SOB (Supporter of Bobcats) Shirts are the ESS Club's largest fundraiser and all members are encouraged to both purchase a SOB Shirt and help us sell them to fellow students, friends and family members. The SOB Shirts are $15 and are available upon request for both purchase and check out to sell later. Students wishing to check out shirts to sell later are required to return money and/or remaining shirts once they have completed their individual fundraising campaign. Students and Professionals can join the
Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and
Dance three ways: In person at the TAHPERD Convention, online
through the eJoin portal, or by submitting the TAHPERD Membership
Application Form. Membership fees are $48 annually for Professionals (Certified Teachers and Professionals) and $20 annually for students. The ESS Club website offers a link to both the online eJoin option and the Membership Application Form (shown below). Students and Professionals not already having done so, are encouraged to join TAHPERD as early as possible to recieve updates and solidify plans to attend the Annual TAHPERD Convention.
