The Service and Activities Committee
(SAC) handles the planning and member recruitment of Club service
projects, Club trips, as well as any other internal or external
events/activities that the ESS Club engages itself in. The SAC also secures guest speakers for Club meetings. All Club members are encouraged to bring forward ideas for guest speakers but the SAC is responsible for generating speaking points that Club members will find interesting and then bringing experts in those fields to discuss them at Club meetings. Intramural Sports also fall to the SAC and are sponsored by the ESS Club. Members wanting to start intramural teams must present a list of members wanting to play and a information regarding time of games, league, etc. to the SAC and the teams will be signed up accordingly. Members can also present this information, plus a receipt to the SAC post-signup for reimbursement of team costs.
