Service and Activities Committee

• The ESS Club will participate in the Fall River Clean Up hosted by the Student Volunteer Connection (Texas State) and the City of San Marcos as our Fall Service Project.  The Fall river clean Up will start at the Lyons Club (Behind Jowers Center) at 8:30am.  The event typically lasts around two hours and breakfast and lunch is served to all volunteers.

TAHPERD Interest Meeting:

• Vice President and SAC Co-Chair, Liz Tajchman, will host an Interest Meeting for ESS Club Members and students interested in traveling to the Annual TAHPERD Convention with the ESS Club Dec. 4 thru 6.
• The Meeting will be held October 20, 2008 at 5pm in Jowers A207.

Bobcat Build 2009:

• The ESS Club will participate in Bobcat Build 2009 as our Spring Service Project.
• Bobcat Build will be held on April 4, 2009.

End-of-Year ESS Banquet:

• The Banquet was addressed with ESS Club Members for the first time and was adopted as an ESS Club event.
• Keynote Speakers were discussed and suggestions included Lance Armstrong and Charles Austin.  Suggestions from all ESS Club Members are welcome.
• The Student Center Ballroom has been reserved for The ESS Club on April 26th from 4pm to 11pm, although the event will be only 2 or 3 hours long.
