Development and Advancement Committee

Texas State vs. The University of Central Arkansas Tailgate:

• Daniel and I will setup at 7am (Randall, from our committee, said he would try to get out there this early too)

• Members present will help sell shirts, we also need to look into renting the bike guy to take use around to the alumni side and take donations.  Liz said she would do this, I will if I am still there, as well as with two other people from the club.

• Daniel needs to get in touch with Texas Road House to make sure they know the game starts at 3pm this time and see what time they are coming out.

Texas State vs. Northwestern State University Tailgate:

• I (Erin) am going to make up a form to send out as an attachment to the club, mostly our committee, to have them go out into the community and ask for donations from businesses that we can give away at this tailgate

• In order for people to win the donated prizes that will have to make a bag into the bag-o game OR we are going to have a wood cut out of a football player and spots for people to throw a football into, if they make it they get a prize

• In order for those donating to feel that they are actually getting something out of it we will make a poster with all of the sponsors in it.  This is a good way to cross-promote with our sponsors.

• This form will be made and sent out by Monday.

Exercise & Sports Science Club Bake Sale:

• That's right! We want to throw a bake sale!

• We will be setting up in the Quad on Wednesday Nov. 19th and outside of Jowers on Nov. 20th.

• We will have a "bring your baked goods" meeting on Nov. 18th to package the goodies as well as price them to get ready for the next morning and following morning after.

• We are looking into if we should reimburse people for baking, but still aren't sure how we would go about doing that (I personally don't think we should, but it was discussed in our meeting).

• To also make it a Club Building activity, Laura Vossler (a girl in our committee) offered to have us come over to her place and bake together!  This would serve as a good time for us to get to know everyone and we would have a ton of fun!

• The bake sale is tentatively scheduled to run from 11am-3pm on each day.
